How to take care of your mobile phone battery

            You must have heard the phrase, “batteries have a memory, you have to charge it to it’s fullest and discharge to zero and repeat”. Well, don’t! Because, this used to be true for the old nickel based batteries but now most of the manufacturer’s batteries are based on Li-ion, for which the phrase doesn’t hold true.

       So, how to know whether your battery is nickel based or Li-ion, look at the back of your battery.

·         So, Li-ion based batteries can be charged full and discharged but it doesn’t have memory effect and it’s not advised to do so either. You should keep your charge between 90-40 percent and never go to zero charge.

·          Do not expose your device to high heat for prolonged periods, as Li-ion batteries doesn’t keep well in high heat, like during a hot day inside a car.

                   Li-ion batteries do well when charged and discharged at a slow pace. So, avoid fast charging whenever you can and for that you can use a low voltage charger.

 The process of wiping and deleting your data actually doesn’t remove that data from your phone. What the operating system does is that it doesn’t delete it, but only marks the spot where the data is situated as the spot ready to be overwritten with another data

This process is same in each and computer and mobile devices out there. So, that means the memory devices are never empty even though you delete everything. It applies to every memory devices out there, like-the memory cards, memory on your phone and even the hard disk drives in your computer. So, to tackle this problem there is a workaround.

 What you can do is delete the data first and fill all of your memory space with useless data or you can encrypt you memory and delete it again. What this will do is scramble all your data into useless bits. When you try to look at the data using sophisticated program, it will show unreadable and gibberish data.

So, if you have Android devices then you can follow the steps below and if you are an apple device owner then you need not worry, because encryption is enabled as default factory settings.

§  First of all, back up your data. There are many apps out there which can do the job properly.

§  You could copy useless data into your phone so it will replace your valuable data. But then, it is always better to take the safe route, follow the next step.

§  Encrypting your phone. To do that, you go to the settings panel, then to the security panel. There, is this encrypt device tab, it will ask you to input a six character password with at least one number, if you haven’t set the lockcode already.

§  After you set your password, go back to the encrypt device tab in the settings menu and start encrypting your device. It will take a little more than an hour to encrypt your device, so it is advisable to connect the charger during the process.

§  After your device is encrypted, it is a walk in the park. You wipe out the data and then revert back to factory settings.

§  Now your mobile is good as new.

E3 the world’s largest gathering of cutting edge Virtual Reality technology

           

     I used to wonder, how amazing would it be if I could have my own Virtual world. My own world where I I could do anything I like, anything I could think of. This dream of mine has become a reality all thanks to those people who are so much more enthusiastic. They’ve created such a technology in the gaming field, which of course is the foremost area where tech like this is developed for.

Google has added yet another trick In it’s arsenal of goodies:

OoPs!!Have you ever created a mess that may, well bring you unwanted situations which you’d rather not have? Have you ever thought, why the hell did I do that, or have you wondered if there could be a way to revert your actions. Or precisely, you ever wanted to unsend the email you just sent to your boss, or may be girlfriend. If yes, then you’re in luck people.

This week google has released the undo button, which some of us were requesting so eagerly, you know. The UNDO button, through which you can unsend that unfinished work you sent mistakenly to your boss. This is so cool, right?

So, you can enable this setting from the settings tab on your browser. For now though, this will be available only for the browsers. For the mobile and tablets, out there, they will get the update later this month.

Facebook Knows Your Interacting Behavior

How much time do you spend on each article or gifs on facebook? Probably it depends upon your attention span or how much you’re interested in the related topic, right? Suppose, you see an article regarding malnutrition in some third world country. You see a little hungry boy covered in dirt, naked crying for his mother or someone who would take care of him. Artificial High-Tech Legs Simulate Feeling’s

       

       A pioneering research project at Linz University, Austria has come to light. Professor Hubert Edgar along with the team has developed the world’s first high-tech prosthetics legs which can simulate the ‘feeling’, that one has with the original legs.

    

        He led a live demonstration, showing the effects of the prosthetics  with the help of a volunteer, Wolfgang Rangger, from Austria in Vienna press conference.The process is pretty complicated. Doctors surgically attach the ‘simulators’ on the stump . with the device the wearer is capable of receiving sensations from the prosthetic legs. Because, even though the legs is not there, the nerve endings sending the electrical signal to the brain is still present there, only they are not stimulated.

This also, as reported has brought an end to the phantom pain, which ,mr  Rangger was enduring since he lost his legs. “phantom pain” is the feeling of pain and discomfort that amputees feel after their organ’s have been removed.

       With this device on, the wearer can feel the elevation on the foot, and even the sand, pebbles on which they are stepping on. Which is a welcome news.

Like- animatronic heads,  hands and legs, similar to that of humans. They would be capable of giving some facial expressions like blinking eyes, opening their mouths. All visual and haptic sensations with be integrated within the virtual reality headsets that will come along with the dolls.

All these advances he is making maybe not much in the present sense but maybe along the years it will cumulate into something which could be really something which we can only imagine.

A new bug has been exposed which can be catastrophic for your privacy. Researcher’s from NowSecure found that the stock Samsung keyboard in Samsung’s Smartphone’s contains a bug through which a hacker can gain access to your phone’s microphone, camera, and even your text messages or worse can install apps on your phone.

Microsoft unveiled its new line of touch-screen computers

Microsoft unveiled its new line of surface hub, earlier this year. It’s a hybrid of surface laptop and a TV.

Microsoft hopes to make the hub the centerpiece of a collaborating meeting, a conference hall where everything will be connected to a main module – the Surface Hub.

 Microsoft said that the Hub can be wall mounted and can be operated simultaneously by two or more people at the same time. The medium could be hand gestures, touch patterns, a stylus and can even be controlled by your voice, if the Hub is out of reach from you at required moment.

It will set you back by $7,000 for an entry level Hub with its 55 inch body and 1080p display. And, it can move up as high as $20,000 with all the fancy requirements that you can think of, like-a 4K display.
