A new bug has been exposed which can be catastrophic for
your privacy. Researcher’s from NowSecure found that the stock Samsung keyboard
in Samsung’s Smartphone’s contains a bug through which a hacker can gain access
to your phone’s microphone, camera, and even your text messages or worse can
install apps on your phone.
It all starts when you use a spoofed wifi. So, be careful
when you connect through an unknown wifi hotspot and check beforehand whether it is safe
or not.
Even though, this bug seems to be dreadful, it’s very
complicated to carry out something like that. Swift key, who supplies the core
foundation code to Samsung has pointed out that all the circumstances must be
right for the hacker to accomplish such an act. The foremost precaution that a
Samsung mobile owner can do is to just stay away from unknown wifi spots.
